England posts record of Highest score chased in an ODI without losing any wicket

England created history by chasing the target of 255 set by Sri Lanka without losing a wicket in the 2nd ODI at Birmingham. England cruised to 256/0 on the back of hundreds by Jason roy (112 off 95) and Alex Hales (133 off 110).

Match Tied: Thrilling finish for England vs Sri Lanka ODI at Trent Bridge

The first ODI of the England vs Sri Lanka ODI series was a thrilling encounter as the Match got tied with a last ball six.

England won the toss and put Sri Lanka in to bat. Sri Lanka went down to 56/3 at one stage and was rescued by Angelo Mathews (73 off 109 balls) and Seekkuge Prasanna (59 off 28 balls). England were set a target of 287 and their top order collapsed to 6/82. Jos Buttler (93 off 99 balls) and Chris Woakes (95 off 92 balls) steadied the innings. With 16 needed off the last over bowled by Pradeep they managed 7 off the first 5 balls. Liam Plunkett smashed the last ball for six to seal a tie.

Chris Woakes was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Hashim Amla - Fastest to 23 ODI Hundreds

Hashim Amla became the fastest to reach 23 ODI hundreds as he scored a fine century against West Indies in the Tri series helping South Africa register a huge win.

KL Rahul - First Indian Player to score an ODI century on debut

KL Rahul, India's opener in the first ODI against Zimbabwe created history by scoring a hundred in his debut match. He became India's first player to record a hundred on debut. India's previous highest individual score on debut was 86, by Robin Uthappa against England in Indore in 2006.

Result: India won by 9 wickets.

WATCH: Kieron Pollard sixes against South Africa

Kieron Pollard made a well crafted half century in the first match of the Tri-Nation ODI series against South Africa. He hit 6 sixes in the 67 ball 67 knock and was the only batsman to hit a six in the match.
