CRICKET ON THIS DAY: A Test match ended with the highest last wicket partnership in a winning cause

The first test between Australia and Pakistan at Karachi in Oct 2, 1994 ended in quite a dramatic fashion. Australia were all set to win their first test in Pakistan in 35 years as Pakistan got reduced to 258 for 9 chasing a target of 314. Inzamam Ul Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed combined for a 57 run partnership that took Pakistan home. With 3 runs needed for victory, Inzamam charged at a Shane Warne delivery only for Ian Healy to miss the stumping that resulted in 4 byes and a Pakistan victory.
The 57 run partnership between Inzamam Ul Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed is still the highest last wicket partnership ever to win a Test.
